| I'm back, kinda sorta! At Cang's urging I've decided to post again on my poor neglected Xanga. So what have I done since last I posted? Hmm, I got to goto Australia, that was a TOTAL blast, I wanna go back. Here are my pics, the captions will prolly explain more than what I post here anyways. http://picasaweb.google.com/mistahappy Sydney was sooo great, my feet got soo sore walking around and I took
waaay too many pics of the Harbor Bridge and the Opera House. I got to
climb the Harbor Bridge too, I must scan in those pics sometime... And I found my new favorite mall in the world, the Queen Victoria Building. I judge a mall on how cool it is by how pretty it looks and how many times I can get lost in it. I got lost in the QVB 5 times, awesome. And I got to eat kangaroo too, it was miiighty tasty xDD The tour was really fun, there were a lot of Canadians, Germans, British, some Aussies, a Brazilian, a Korean, and a few other Yanks like me. I wish I could have stayed longer as I was just getting to know my tourmates, but it was tons of fun, I didnt get many pictures during that time but I got to go surfing, sea kayaking, gambling (I won $85 AUS, yay!), and lots of partying. There was an interesting flair in the air too cause a big Aus vs England cricket match called the Ashes was going on so the English ppl in my tour were always joslting the tour guide and other Aussies on who would win. And then in Surfer's Paradise (one of the major stops), it was invaded by 'schoolies'. In Australia, when the senior high school class graduates, they all go off to places like Surfer's for a week of partying and general debauchery and are affectionatly called 'schoolies'. And the drinking age in Australia is 18 o.O. So all the clubs we went to were packed with drunk 18 year olds partying like there was no tomorrow. Interesting to say the least. When we left Surfer's our tour guide showed us that morning's newspaper headlines, "Drunkest Weekend Ever". Ohya, I was a part of Aussie history right there xDD One of the German guys on my tour, a 28 year old who was a very amusing individual, kept yelling out, "Wooo, SCHOOLIES!" and winking at all the girls, we had to drag him away going, "No man, thats not right yo!" When I got dropped off in Brisbane I was so tired I spent most of my time there resting and doing laundry. It was kind of a sobering experience cause being with the tour was so.. exciting! there was always a lot of energy going on in it. Plus it was reallyreally fucking hot. But the next day I got excited again cause I got to fly to Tasmania to meet my friend Kendall, who I'd been dying to meet. And it was soso fun, I took a LOT of pictures of that part of the trip so its well documented. But we basically wandered around the north part of the state, visiting some national parks and bumming around various towns and cities and I got to try cool Aussie foods like Vegemite, Milo, meat pies, Chicken Twisties, Tim Tams, mmmm. I still have Vegemite and Milo if anyones interested in trying them xDD. Tasmania was on average pretty cold though, a big change from the burning hotness of Brisbane. There are some quirks to Aussie culture (no ketchup on McDonalds french fries, wtf?) but theyre really similar to us actually. Like on my last day I was playing video games and eating Dominoes pizza and suddenly I realized, holy crap, this is another country, WHAAAb$DSGSD! And promptly exploded.
Besides Australia, I guess I went to a bunch of holiday parties, there was Jon's dad's party at El Torito, with an open bar I missed out on, Roarke's party at his coolcool house with another open bar I missed out on, the ever-notorious Tamby-bash with my first time playing the Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii (OMG i want a Wii now) and seeing old high school friends. And oh, of course NYE at Jon's house, where I stupidly did not eat dinner before drinking and managed to get buzzed on my FIRST drink. I did not do well in beer pong either T_T. Good thing Chris was around to take me home, thanks Chris! Then the family NY event was fun, touch football with the cousins, yay! Oh, and Christmas at Mammoth, omg, I love skiing all over again, neeed to go baack to slopes. Most of the double blacks were closed but there were plenty of moguly moguls and tree runs to keep me happy. And I found a racing track, ommmggg, I spent an hour and a half just whizzing down that. Holy crap, I HAVE been doing a lot I guess, o.O

| Fuuuck, I HATE drama at parties. I spent my weekend at a housewarming party for a friends place in San Luis Obisbo, there was so much drama between couples it was totally awkward. I mostly sat in a corner and watched the clock tick away. Another time I'm glad to be single. Nice place though, like right across the street from Pismo Beach. Literally. Too bad it was RAINING! D: Note to self: Add Santa Barbara and San Luis Obisbo to places to possibly live; gorgeous views, not ridiculously expensive real estate, and decent sized towns. Oh, and if I liked wine, theyre both in the middle of wine country. Mebbe they can just let me eat some grapes? I totally wanna go back for a weekend when there is less drama and less rain. Even the drive was scenic almost the entire way!
Apparently theres penguins in Tasmania, like REAL ones. Why not have magical unicorns and dancing faeries while theyre at it?

| Ohmanz, I haven't been in Xanga for like EVER! I got tired of it after awhile and just stopped but apparently I missed out on a lot. Cang getting robbed, Gerald doing a band, Claudia's B-day, Scott's crazy antics, etc etc. Mebbe someone had died, gotten married, or got abducted by aliens AND I MISSED IT! Cang was asking me the other day "Did you play the free trial of The Ship?" Me: "Huh? When did this happen?" Cang: "I mentioned this on Xanga!" Me: "Huh whazzat? ..... Ohhh! I don't really read that anymore" Cang: "MAN, YOU GOTTA CHECK THAT SHIT, FUCKER!" Or something like that. So here I am, w00! Anyways, things are pretty much the same. Still working for the same company, although I did switch positions to software developing. Due to HR issues (grr!), I'm still getting paid the same to do a lot more work so yeah... But it's good experience and for stuff that makes decent bucks elsewhere. Ohgawd, I hope HR doesn't search Xangas . Umm, it's the greatest company evar! He..he..eeehhh Oh! I goto Australia in less than 2 weeks for 2 weeks, reeeallly looking forward to that. I get to huggle koalas, run over kangaroos, get some acupuncture from stingrays, and get a nice massage from some jellyfish... I can't wait! Spending 4-5 days in Sydney, 4 days on a tour from Sydney to Brisbane, 1 day in Brisbane, then meeting a friend in Tasmania who is giving me a 5-6 day tour there. 10 days left!

| Today I spent 9 hours of frustration at my cousins house trying to fix his computer (finally got it done in the end). I brought 3 motherboards/CPU's including one I bought at Fry's today and a crapload of assorted parts; I was ready to get down and dirty, and I did. It ended up being a double failure of his motherboard and RAM, that was confusing the hell out of me. So I come home in a dejected mood and log onto Gaia Online for their Anniversary event. Now if I hadn't mentioned this already, at the past 3 Gaia events, a bunch of artists have been getting together to give away free arts, and I like to join in the fun as well. Anyways what made my day was some people in the thread told me my art inspired them. I had to sit back and digest that. Me? Being looked up to? Even when my mom walked in and started bellyaching about how I was wasting my time on the computer, I just nodded and kept that big grin on my face. Even if its just cartoon drawing, I made a difference. I can't wait to draw again...
